Buddha
Buddha is a title in Sanskrit and Pali that means "The Enlightened One" or "The Awakened One." It’s most famously associated with Siddhartha Gautama, a prince from ancient India who lived around the 5th–6th century BCE. After a long spiritual journey, he attained perfect enlightenment (nirvana) and began teaching the path to inner peace and liberation from suffering.

Cultural Meaning:
In Buddhism, Buddha refers not only to Siddhartha Gautama but to anyone who reaches the highest level of enlightenment.
Statues of Buddha are commonly placed in temples, shrines, and homes as symbols of inner peace, wisdom, and spiritual balance.
In Bali and throughout Southeast Asia, Buddha statues often appear in various symbolic poses, such as:

Dhyana Mudra (meditation pose)
Abhaya Mudra (gesture of fearlessness)
Vitarka Mudra (gesture of teaching)
These symbols remind followers to seek peace, wisdom, and mindfulness in their daily lives.
